What are you buying your toddlers for Christmas?
Emma and Laura are getting a kidkraft gourmet corner kitchen and some pretty cool looking accessories like a blender, coffee pot, toaster, etc.
They love their el cheapo play kitchen now, but their isn't really enough space for both of them to play so we are putting the old plastic one outside in their playhouse.......
So what are your kiddos getting or are you thinking about getting?
Wooden Play Kitchen for Christmas
Made by my husband and myself, for our kids.
We made it primarily with local cypress, from within 5 miles of our house, (from swamp to saw mill to us), used a little reclaimed pine inside for the shelves, Chinese tallow from our pastures for the burners and southern yellow pine from our pastures for the knobs and pilot light. We made it with no plans, just looked at photos online and winged it. We have a good selection of tools, but are not carpenters, for sure. It took us about 12 hours, total. The sink is a dog bowl, the faucet is from a guest house we ripped down. Cookware is from Ikea. Play food is from "Bright Life Toys" on hyenacart.com and etsy.com. We still need to do some final sanding and finish it with beeswax and jojoba oil. Video shot with Flip Mino.
